Sleeper's Awake

Currently I'm working on a project of Classical guitar music for relaxation. I started by brainstorming beautiful relaxing pieces by classical composers. Handel, Sor, Bach, and Debussy just to name a few. One piece I included was Bach's Wachet Auf. In case your German is rusty, it translates to "Hey, Wake Up." Perfect song for a relaxation album! I think I'll stick with the German title.

Here's my recording of Wachet Auf, which is surprisingly relaxing...despite it's title.

  1. Really lovely William. Such marvelous line separation! What kind of quitar are you using? Is this your own arrangement?

    1. Thanks Chuck! I'm playing a Teodoro Perez, which I love. The arrangement is mainly a version by Jason Waldron, which I adapted and expanded a little. He has a brilliant collection of guitar arrangements called "Popular Classics of the Great Composers." It's worth checking out.

  2. William, I just finish watching your video of Malaguena. WOW! I would like to include it in the section “What beautiful People Listen” of a new website that will launch at the beginning of October under the name “FOR BEAUTIFUL PEOPLE ONLY.” If you agree with it please send me your email at info@beautifulpeopleonly and I will send more information.
